“The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page.”-Saint Augustine
Of my numerous passions in life, travel definitely takes the top spot. I’d have to say my love of visiting different places was instilled rather early. Summers growing up were often spent in Taiwan, visiting relatives and living like a local, if only for a few weeks. This experience opened my eyes to the tremendous diversity and way of life present across different pieces of geography.
Much of my current interest lays with seeing all of the interesting, quirky, and historical places that make up the United States. So much so, that one of my goals is to visit all fifty states by the time I turn thirty(I’m only missing two states). From checking out the spots paramount in the Civil Rights Movement in the Deep South, to touring a John Deere plant in Iowa, to exploring New York City, it has been one awesome journey.

It should go without saying, but each of the fifty states are unique in their own way. On these trips, I specifically seek out the places that show its distinctiveness as well as illustrate its story.

In 2018, I decided to share my travel experiences by starting Eric Explores the World, a travel blog where I publish trip reports, travel tips, and more. Helping people discover their own journey is pretty satisfying!
